Rhum

French word used for "rum". Liquor obtained after the fermentation and distillation of sugar cane juice. Different kinds of rum it distinguishes in Martinique : - The rum is produced by direct fermentation of fresh cane juice (the cane juice) - Rum "cœur de chauffe" which is a rum from the first stillage - Industrial rum produced by fermentation from molasses (sugar refining residue) and - The rum is a dark rum aged in oak barrels.
