For centuries, the people of Martinique have relied on the plants that grow on the island's soil to treat themselves. The island's first inhabitants were already using plants for food, utensils, well-being and, of course, medical care. On their arrival, the slaves tried to preserve this habit from their homelands, but were prevented from doing so by the settlers. Care using plants known locally as “rimèd razyé” has been handed down from generation to generation by our grandparents. Today, thanks to more advanced scientific studies, we can make even more serene use of these natural benefits.
