Candlemas Day

Candlemas is the Christian religious festival celebrating the presentation of Christ in the Temple. It takes place every year on February 2, 40 days after Christmas. Candlemas is considered to be the last festival celebrating the birth of Christ after Christmas, the Feast of the Innocents and Epiphany.

Each Christian feast has its own tradition, and the Chandeleur tradition is the eating of crepes.
