This is an ideal place for walks and picnics family with benches, tables, trails and even its outdoor amphitheater. In addition, it offers a superb view of Fort de France and the coast of Trois Ilets. The hike to ride around the forest still requires an hour. Essences and wildlife species present on the site are indicated.
In 2007, the forest was devastated by Hurricane Dean but was restored and cleaned shortly after. The renovation of the site was funded by the Regional Council (Conseil Régional) and the European Union. The site is on the grounds of the old Vatable Plantation. The ruins of the filing of rum make you remember what happened. However, you can not get close. Access is dangerous.
This is an ideal site for a family outing. Returning to the parking lot, the trail runs along the coast and gives you a glimpse of the mangrove ecosystem.
