Îlet Lapins

Îlet Lapins, not to be confused with the Îlet Lapin located in Trinité, is located in the bay of François near the Lavigne islet from which it is separated only by 20 meters.

Even if 7 houses and a chapel are located on the islet, the Lapins islet is not inhabited.

Islet from the submarine volcanic chain of Vauclin-Pitault dated from the middle Miocene, protected by a decree of protection of biotope since 2003, it is registered by the ministerial decree of July 28, 2007, with the îlet Pelé.

It is a protected site.
