Ilets aux Chiens

The Îlets aux Chiens are made up of two fairly flat rocky islets, each measuring 0.25 hectares, and three much smaller ones. They are uninhabited islets on the Sainte-Anne peninsula.

They are not part of the Réserve Naturelle des îlets de Sainte-Anne (Sainte-Anne islets nature reserve), although they also host bird species similar to those of the reserve.

On the îlets aux Chiens, the counts are not exhaustive, as only the îlets of the Réserve Naturelle des îlets de Sainte-Anne are regularly monitored. The figures therefore correspond to minimum numbers over the last 10 years and an approximate assessment of the total number of individuals.

The Ilets aux Chiens are mainly home to the Brown Noddy (around 100 individuals in 2006) and the Bridled Tern (around 10 individuals in 2006).
