Îlet Rat is located near the Sainte-Anne peninsula, just 40 meters from the coast of Cap Chevalier and 300 meters from Îlet Chevalier.
It is an islet of volcanic origin.

It is a small islet, almost circular in shape, with a maximum length of 350 meters. It is almost 10 times smaller than the nearby îlet Chevalier.
It is entirely covered by abundant vegetation.
It can be visited and is easily reached from the shore in a few minutes by boat. Excursion companies offering trips to îlet Chevalier also offer docking facilities.
Various tours of the islets of Sainte-Anne are available, during which you can moor at Îlet à Aigrettes, îlets aux Chiens and Îlet Rat from Cap Chevalier.
