How to get to Martinique from any country in the world?

AZ Martinique provides useful information about airlines flying to the “Island of Flowers.” If you're a national of a non-EU country, be sure to check visa requirements in advance—just as you would when traveling to any French airport. Martinique’s main airport is Aimé Césaire International Airport. While it's often referred to as being in Fort-de-France, it is actually located in the neighboring city of Le Lamentin.

From Europe

If you're traveling from Europe, you'll need to pass through Paris to reach Martinique. The island isn’t directly connected to any major European capital—except Brussels (BRU), via Air Belgium. No visa is required for nationals of European Union countries. Expect around 8 hours of direct flight time between Paris and Fort-de-France.

Similarly, travelers from Asia, Oceania, the Indian Ocean, and Africa must also transit through Paris before flying to Martinique. Nationals from non-EU European countries and other regions must follow the same visa procedures as for entry into mainland France.

Three airlines offer daily flights from Paris, with Air France providing the convenience of departures from Roissy Charles de Gaulle International Airport. Passengers are allowed one checked bag of up to 23 kg (50 lbs), plus a carry-on item under 12 kg (28 lbs).
