Anse l'Etang

The beach at Anse l'Étang is not very popular. To the west of Anse Bonneville, it is exposed to the Atlantic winds and can have waves appreciated by surfers and other wind sports enthusiasts. If the swell is strong, swimming is not recommended.

Located north of La Caravelle, Anse l'Etang is a beach that will delight anyone choosing accommodation in the island's North Atlantic region.

Although quiet and well-equipped (with plenty of picnic areas and a lifeguard post), Anse l'Etang is not a popular beach.

Bordered by numerous trees, it offers pleasant shade for picnickers and children wanting to play on the sand.

Beware of the waves, which can be considerable due to its Atlantic orientation. It can also be subject to sargassum shoals.

To get there, go to Trinité and head towards Tartane, then follow the signs for "Château Dubuc / Presqu'île de la Caravelle". A sign will indicate the entrance.
