Shellfish within a pearly shell pink color that is eaten either fricassee or a skewer. It is a luxury meat in the West Indies. The price is quite high.
The shell called "konn' lambi" is used by fishermen by blowing into a broadcast strong enough to inform the population of the surrounding their return from fishing. It is also used by the groups to walk the carnival as a musical instrument or to start from the top step of the round skiffs. Today the shell is also sold as a decorative keepsake.
