Madiana beach

Madiana beach is located in the heart of Martinique, and as such attracts the majority of the local population. Its dwarf coconut trees and vast expanse of sand make it ideal for ball sports such as beach volleyball, soccer and tennis. Protected by a cliff, it is relatively quiet.

Madiana beach is located in the Madiana district of Schoelcher, where the Madiana cinema complex and the University of Martinique are also located.

Well-known to the inhabitants of central Martinique, it is also popular with the people of Fort-de-France and Schoelcher who want to swim without having to travel to the Caribbean north or the more distant south. It is also a popular spot for morning jogging for residents.

Small palm trees are planted on the beach.

A nautical center is located here, offering sailing and swimming lessons.

To get there from Fort-de-France, head for Schoelcher, then follow signs for Madiana. Once you've passed the Madiana cinema complex in the traffic circle, turn left towards Plage de Madiana.
