Tour cycliste de la Martinique 2024

Cycling is one of Martinique's favorite sports, and the Tour de la Martinique remains as popular as ever. This international race is an opportunity to discover local and international champions who may one day aspire to participate in the Grande Boucle in France, which usually takes place simultaneously.

8 stages are contested over 7 days.

The Tour de la Martinique 2024 will be the 43rd edition of the event. The defending champion is Eddy-Michel Cadet-Marthe of Team Gedimat Madinina Bikers. The Tour Cycliste de la Martinique kicks off on Sunday, July 7 in Fort-de-France. Teams from all over the world have been invited. Teams from Cuba, the United States, England, the Dominican Republic, Switzerland, France, Guadeloupe and French Guiana will all participate.

The 8 stages will be as follows in 2024:

  • 1st stage: Sunday, July 7: Fort-de-France ► Marin
  • 2nd stage: Monday July 8: Fort-de-France ► Saint-Pierre
  • 3rd stage: Tuesday July 9: Rivière-Salée ► Macouba
  • 4th stage: Wednesday, July 10: Vauclin ► Sainte-Marie
  • 5th stage: Thursday, July 11: Sainte-Marie ► Trinité
  • 6th stage: Friday 12 July: Trinité ► Ducos
  • 7th stage: Saturday, July 13: Ducos ► Rivière-Pilote then Rivière-Pilote ► Rivière-Pilote (time trial)
  • 8th stage: Sunday July 14: Rivière-Pilote ► François

As for the jerseys awarded to the best-performing riders, there are :

  • yellow for the leader in the general individual time classification
  • green for the points leader
  • red polka dots for the best climber
  • orange for the team leader in the general team time classification
  • red for the best young rider (under 23)
  • blue for the general hot-spots classification
  • pink for the overall fighting spirit ranking.
